NAILSOFTHEDAY Opal Top – a collection of professional decorative top coats with opal glitter, designed to give a manicure a soft, multi-dimensional glow. The opal particles change their visual character depending on the base color and lighting, so the same top coat can look subtle over a light base and much more contrasting over darker shades. The collection consists of two 10 ml variants – Opal Top 01 and Opal Top 02.

Both variants have no sticky layer (No Wipe) and no UV filters. The manufacturer specifies a medium consistency, self-leveling properties, protection against chips and scratches, and stable shine for up to four weeks.

Opal Top collection variants

Opal Top 01 – an opal glitter top coat on a clear base. It does not alter the main color of the manicure with a milky pigment, so the shade underneath remains clearly visible and the opal particles become the main decorative accent.

Opal Top 02 – an opal glitter top coat on a slightly milky base. The milky tint slightly softens the color underneath, so the result is softer and visually gentler than with Opal Top 01.

What look does Opal Top create?

The Opal Top effect is more subtle than that of top coats with coarse glitter or reflective particles. Here, the main visual result comes from the play of light on the opal particles – as the lighting and viewing angle change, flashes of different tones appear on the surface.

Over light, nude or milky bases, the effect looks soft and elegant. Over black, burgundy, blue or other dark colors, the opal particles become more contrasting and stand out much more vividly.

Opal Top 01 leaves the base color virtually unchanged and adds an opal sparkle.

Opal Top 02 additionally adds a light milky veil, so it may slightly soften the base color.

Opal Top 01 or Opal Top 02?

Choose Opal Top 01 when you want to keep the original color of your chosen coating and add just an opal sparkle. The clear base is especially practical when you plan to use the top coat over many different shades.

Opal Top 02 is a better fit when you want not only an opal effect but also a slightly softer final result. The slightly milky base can soften the contrast and pairs especially beautifully with nude, French manicure, white and pastel bases.
