Milky coverage, even leveling and a subtle result in one professional product.

NAILSOFTHEDAY Cover Base Milk – a professional colored cover base designed for a subtle milky nail shade and an evenly leveled surface. The Cover Base formula features a medium consistency, high plasticity and fast self-leveling, making the product easy to control when creating a smooth color layer. The manufacturer also states that the base does not shrink and is formulated without aggressive acids.

The Milk line offers both classic and semi-sheer milky shades as well as versions enhanced with subtle shimmer. This means Cover Base Milk can be used for a natural, clean manicure or a soft “milky nails” effect, as well as for a lightly shimmering result without an additional colored gel polish.

Formula and benefits

  • Resistance-tested: the manufacturer states that Cover Base has been tested in an artificial aging chamber and is resistant to lifting.
  • European pigments: the classic Cover Base Milk shades are formulated with European pigments.
  • UV and LED curing: UV – 120 seconds, LED – 60 seconds.

Cover Base Milk shades

The milky Cover Base line includes several variants with different coverage and effects:

  • Milk 01 – a muted, richer milky cover shade;
  • Milk 02 – a classic milky shade;
  • Milk 03 – semi-sheer milky;
  • Milk 04 Shimmer – milky with silver shimmer;
  • Milk 05 Shimmer – semi-sheer milky with pink shimmer;
  • Milk 06 Shimmer – semi-sheer milky with blue shimmer;
  • Milk 07 Shimmer – semi-sheer milky with gold shimmer.

The different levels of pigmentation let you choose a result anywhere from lightly evening out the natural nail tone to a bolder milky coverage or a subtle glow.

When to use Cover Base Milk?

NAILSOFTHEDAY Cover Base Milk is ideal when you want to:

  • achieve a clean, natural milky manicure;
  • mask an uneven natural nail color;
  • create an even color surface;
  • create a soft nude or “milky nails” effect;
  • use the base as the main manicure color without an additional gel polish;
  • choose a subtle silver, pink, blue or gold shimmer effect.
How to use
1. Preparation: perform a hygienic manicure and degrease the nail plate using NAILSOFTHEDAY Nail Prep.
2. Dehydration: apply NAILSOFTHEDAY Dehydrator.
3. Create a flexible foundation. The manufacturer recommends applying Cover Base Milk over a flexible foundation rather than directly as the only base material.
4. If using Rubber Base: prepare for adhesion according to the Rubber Base system and create a thin flexible NAILSOFTHEDAY Rubber Base foundation.
5. If using Scotch Base: do not use Ultrabond together with Scotch Base. The current individual Scotch Base instructions specify applying a thin layer of Scotch Base after Dehydrator and curing it fully.
6. Applying the color base: spread NAILSOFTHEDAY Cover Base Milk evenly and level the surface carefully.
7. Curing: UV lamp – 120 seconds; LED lamp – 60 seconds.
8. Sealing: finish with your chosen NAILSOFTHEDAY top coat – Universal Top, Glossy Top No Wipe, No Stress Top No Wipe Anti-Scratch, Glossy Top Wipe, Teddy Top Wipe or Matte Top No Wipe.
Important information
Cover Base Milk is a color / cover base, not a primary adhesion layer. The manufacturer recommends using a flexible Rubber Base or Scotch Base foundation underneath it.
