Cover color and an intense light-reflecting sparkle in one product.

NAILSOFTHEDAY Reflective Base – a professional collection of cover bases with fine light-reflecting particles. The micro-grain shimmer reacts to incoming light and creates a vivid, sparkling “reflective” effect that stands out especially intensely in direct light or in flash photography. The collection currently includes 12 Reflective Base variants.

The formula features a medium consistency and high plasticity, self-levels and allows you to create an even nail surface and structure. Reflective Base can be applied in a thinner layer for a subtle effect or with an additional layer to intensify the color and sparkle.

Formula and benefits

  • UV and LED curing: the recommended cycle is UV 120 s / LED 60 s.

Range of Reflective Base colors and effects

The NAILSOFTHEDAY Reflective Base collection combines both neutral and bolder cover shades. The line includes silver, blue, burgundy, sandy-milky, rich sky-blue, soft and bright pink, and peach shades.

Among the variants:

  • Reflective Base 01 – a light-reflecting base with silver and pink shimmering particles;

  • Reflective Base 02 – with blue and sky-blue reflective particles;

  • Reflective Base 03 – with violet and pink particles;

  • Reflective Base 04 – a sandy-milky shade with reflective shimmer;

  • Reflective Base 05 – rich blue with holographic shimmering particles;

  • Reflective Base 06 – a soft pink shade;

  • Reflective Base 07 – bright pink;

  • Reflective Base 08 – a peach shade.

The collection is complemented by Reflective Base 09–12. They continue the same light-reflecting cover base formula; shades 10–12 are a newer addition to the collection.

When to use Reflective Base?

NAILSOFTHEDAY Reflective Base is ideal when you want to combine leveling of the nail surface, cover color and a decorative sparkle in one product.

The base is especially suitable for:

  • a single-color reflective manicure;

  • festive and evening designs;

  • a manicure that stands out vividly in direct light or in flash photography;

  • when you want to avoid an additional layer of glitter or reflective gel polish;

  • a subtle single-layer effect or a more intense multi-layer result.
How to use
1. Preparation: perform a hygienic manicure and degrease the nail plate using NAILSOFTHEDAY Nail Prep.
2. Dehydration: apply NAILSOFTHEDAY Dehydrator.
3. Flexible foundation: before Reflective Base, create a thin flexible foundation using NAILSOFTHEDAY Rubber Base or NAILSOFTHEDAY Scotch Base, following the instructions for your chosen base. In the Reflective Base instructions, the manufacturer lists both bases as suitable foundation options.
4. Applying Reflective Base: spread a small amount of your chosen NAILSOFTHEDAY Reflective Base evenly over the nail plate and level it carefully.
5. Adjusting intensity: for a bolder shade and a richer reflective effect, an additional layer can be applied.
6. Curing: UV lamp – 120 seconds; LED lamp – 60 seconds.
7. Sealing: finish the manicure with your chosen NAILSOFTHEDAY top coat – Universal Top, Glossy Top No Wipe, No Stress Top No Wipe Anti-Scratch, Glossy Top Wipe, Teddy Top Wipe or Matte Top No Wipe.
Important information
NAILSOFTHEDAY Reflective Base is a colored cover base, so a separate flexible foundation layer is recommended underneath it. The manufacturer's Reflective Base application instructions specify the Rubber Base or Scotch Base systems.

If you choose NAILSOFTHEDAY Scotch Base as the foundation, follow its own individual application protocol – Scotch Base is an adhesion base and its preparation technique differs from Rubber Base.

The reflective effect depends on the lighting: in normal light you see the shimmer and the chosen base shade, while in strong directional light the reflective particles reflect light much more intensely.

Fully cure each layer of Reflective Base – UV 120 seconds or LED 60 seconds. Avoid contact of the product with the skin, use only as intended and protect from direct sunlight.
