NAILSOFTHEDAY Scotch Base – a professional liquid adhesion base designed for maximum adhesion to the natural nail plate. It is especially recommended for thin, problem nails and nails that struggle to hold a coating, when the adhesion of standard base systems is not enough. Scotch Base is applied in an extremely thin, rubbed-in layer, so it creates a reliable foundation without weighing the nail down with extra material.

The liquid, flexible formula can be used under gel polish, color bases, gel or polygel. Thanks to its strong adhesive properties, the manufacturer also recommends Scotch Base for pedicures and for clients with hyperhidrosis. The product's pH is 4.5, and its consistency is liquid.

Formula and benefits

Maximum adhesion: Scotch Base is designed to strengthen the bond between the material and the natural nail plate, especially where coatings usually hold less well.

Universal foundation: can be used under gel polish, color bases, gel and polygel.
pH 4.5: the acidity of the product.
Designed as a primer layer: Scotch Base is not a leveling base and should not be used to build structure or a thicker structural layer.

When to use Scotch Base?

NAILSOFTHEDAY Scotch Base is especially suitable when you need to strengthen adhesion without changing the nail structure or adding unnecessary coating thickness.

Recommended for:

thin natural nails;
a problem nail plate on which coatings tend to hold less well;
pedicures;
clients with hyperhidrosis;
a thin foundation under gel polish;
under color bases;
an adhesion layer under gel or polygel.

Scotch Base is not intended for leveling the nail plate. If a structural layer or structure building is needed, another material designed for that purpose is applied over the cured Scotch Base.

1. Preparation: perform a hygienic manicure and properly prepare the natural nail plate.
2. Degreasing: thoroughly degrease the nail surface.
3. Dehydration: apply NAILSOFTHEDAY Dehydrator.
4. Adhesion layer: do not use Ultrabond. Scotch Base itself serves as a strong adhesive foundation, so it must not be used together with Ultrabond.
5. Applying the base: apply NAILSOFTHEDAY Scotch Base in an extremely thin, rubbed-in layer and spread it evenly over the entire nail plate. Do not use the base for leveling or building structure.
6. Curing: UV lamp – 120 seconds; LED lamp – 90 seconds.
7. Next steps: after full curing, continue with your chosen system – gel polish, color base, gel or polygel.

NAILSOFTHEDAY Scotch Base must not be used together with Ultrabond. This is an important difference from the application protocols of many other NAILSOFTHEDAY bases. Scotch Base itself is designed for maximum adhesion, so the manufacturer specifies using Dehydrator before it, but not Ultrabond.

It is also important not to confuse Scotch Base with a leveling base. It is intended for a very thin primer layer, not for building nail structure or applying a larger amount of material.

Full curing: UV – 120 s, LED – 90 s.

Avoid contact of the product with the skin. Use only as intended, protect from direct sunlight and keep out of the reach of children.
