A universal glossy finish with a minimal amount of UV filters – for light and dark shades without changing their color character.

NAILSOFTHEDAY Universal Top No Wipe – a professional clear glossy top coat with no sticky layer and a minimal amount of UV filters. It is designed as a universal solution for both light and dark colors: the manufacturer emphasizes that the top coat does not yellow light shades and does not give dark shades a bluish tint.

The more fluid, well self-leveling formula allows Universal Top to be applied in a thin, even layer without adding unnecessary thickness to the coating. After curing, it leaves a clear, mirror-shine surface, and there is no sticky layer to remove.

Why does Universal Top contain only a minimal amount of UV filters?

Different clear top coats can affect how a color is perceived in different ways. Stronger UV filters are useful for protecting light colors, but they can cause an unwanted optical bluish tint on dark shades. Top coats with no UV filters at all preserve the tone of dark colors perfectly, but do not offer the same optical protection for light colors.

NAILSOFTHEDAY Universal Top is formulated with a minimal amount of UV filters, so the manufacturer presents it as an intermediate, more universal option: it does not cause noticeable optical lightening or darkening and can be used over both light and dark coatings.

When to choose Universal Top?

NAILSOFTHEDAY Universal Top No Wipe is especially practical when a salon wants a single clear glossy top coat suitable for a wide range of colors.

It can be used for:

  • white and milky shades;
  • nude and cover bases;
  • pastel gel polishes;
  • red, burgundy and brown shades;
  • black and other very dark colors;
  • colored Builder Gel or Bottle Gel;
  • gel polish systems and various fully cured color coatings.

Differences between Universal Top, Glossy Top No Wipe and No Stress Top No Wipe

These three glossy NAILSOFTHEDAY No Wipe top coats are not identical.

Universal Top No Wipe contains a minimal amount of UV filters. It is the most universal option when you want to cover both light and dark colors with one top coat while changing their visual tone as little as possible.

Glossy Top No Wipe contains UV filters and is especially intended for light shades.

No Stress Top No Wipe is free of UV filters and scratch-resistant; it is especially suitable for dark shades where it is important to avoid any bluish tint.

So Universal Top sits in the middle and is a good choice for everyday universal salon work.
How to use
1. Make sure the previously applied gel polish, color base or building material is properly cured.
2. Apply NAILSOFTHEDAY Universal Top No Wipe in a thin, even layer, avoiding excess product.
3. Let the formula self-level and check the surface before curing.
4. Curing: UV lamp – 180 seconds; LED lamp – 30–60 seconds.
5. For LED lamps, the manufacturer recommends curing continuously for the full 30–60 second cycle.
6. After curing, let the surface cool for 20–30 seconds so the final shine can stabilize.
7. Only apply cuticle oil, cream or other care products once the surface has cooled.
8. There is no sticky layer to remove – this is a No Wipe top coat.
Important information
The curing mode for Universal Top differs from some other NAILSOFTHEDAY products. Recommended curing: UV – 180 seconds, LED – 30–60 seconds, so you should not automatically apply the UV 120 s / LED 60 s mode often used for other NAILSOFTHEDAY systems.

The manufacturer also recommends applying the top coat in a thin, even layer without excess and waiting about 20–30 seconds after curing before using oil, cream or other liquid care products.
